Radiesse, an Unique Dermal Filler

What is Radiesse?

This next-generation dermal filler goes beyond just filling folds and wrinkles – it actually provides facial volume. RADIESSE works with your body to stimulate new collagen and deliver a natural look that lasts. Radiesse achieves safe, long-lasting, and convenient facial rejuvenation.

Radiesse is a safe and effective treatment for filling and correcting smile lines, nasolabial folds, and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. This unique product provides immediately visible improvement of folds and wrinkles and leaves you with long-lasting, beautiful results.

Radiesse Benefits

  • RADIESSE is a safe, FDA-approved dermal filler that restores a natural and youthful look without the risks associated with a permanent implant.
  • Lasts longer than a hyaluronic acid-based filler
  • Corrects moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth (i.e. nasolabial folds).

What does Radiesse consist of?

RADIESSE is made of unique, calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel carrier. It is injected into the skin through a minimally invasive procedure that is simple and safe.

How does Radiesse work?

RADIESSE works with your body, below the skin’s surface. Tiny calcium-based microspheres form a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen. Over time, the microspheres gradually break down, which are then safely and naturally absorbed into your body.

Radiesse continues to stimulate the body to produce new collagen until the microspheres are absorbed into your body. Macrophages start to degrade the gel carrier (2-3 Months) as new collagen forms. Collagen growth provides long term augmentation that may last for a year or more in many patients. Though your body absorbs the gel carrier over time, your own collagen will start to grow and eventually replace the gel.

How soon can I expect results?

Radiesse has some immediate volumizing effect due to the gel carrier. Additionally, the microspheres stimulate the growth of new collagen in your skin. Because of this, an even greater volumizing effect takes place over the following a few months of the procedure.

How long will the results last?

RADIESSE typically lasts a year or more, which is longer than the former leading filler. Radiesse treatments may require fewer office visits over time – this saves you time and money! Since results may vary, be sure to discuss your expectations with Dr. Shafa.

Is Radiesse safe?

RADIESSE has been proven to be safe and effective. With Radiesse, you get FDA-approved, safe, and clinically tested reliability. It is also biocompatible, so no allergy testing is necessary prior to treatment. Hundreds of thousands of patients have been given Radiesse, and more than 4,000 physicians worldwide have been trained to provide Radiesse treatments.

How is a Radiesse treatment performed?

RADIESSE is injected into the skin through a simple and convenient procedure. Dr. Shafa emphasizes a pain-free procedure and performs a dental block with minimal discomfort if any. Radiesse treatments have little to no downtime, so most patients are able to resume normal activities soon after treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Many patients will achieve their desired result after just one visit. To ensure your satisfaction, Dr. Shafa might schedule a follow-up visit later on and discuss whether a touch-up treatment is needed.

How much does Radiesse cost?

RADIESSE treatments are customized for each patient, so the price varies. In general, the cost of Radiesse is comparable to similar procedures. And because Radiesse is long-lasting, you will be saving money and time.
